Player involvement helps shape UEFA Minimum Standards Framework for Women’s National Teams

FIFPRO Europe collaborated with UEFA to deliver the first edition of UEFA’s Minimum Standards Framework for Women’s National Teams. Framework outlines how national associations should have transparent policies on responding to harassment and discrimination, as well as expenses and remuneration, parental and pregnancy rights, and the handling of player data. Example of how involvement of players, unions, national associations and confederations can help shape better conditions for national team football.

The Chairwoman of the ČAFH, Markéta Vochoska Haindlová, and a ČAFH associate Ryan Parker traveled to Hoofddorp, Netherlands to attend the 2023 FIFPRO Legal Conference on March 15-16. The two-day event, held in the FIFPRO House, brought together legal experts in football from around the world to discuss diverse legal issues affecting the sport today.

Women's football is gaining more and more popularity in the Czech Republic, although the women's national football team did not qualify for the World Cup, after finishing third in their qualifying group behind the Netherlands and Iceland. ČAFH membership fees for 2022 will help footballers from Ukraine

The Czech Association of Football Players has unhesitatingly condemned the aggressive invasion in Ukraine by the Russian army and declared its support for the football players there. The leadership of the ČAFH decided that the membership fees, which are annually donated to the needy, will this time go to help football players from the war-stricken country.

Following the escalation of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has led to an ongoing and distressing humanitarian crisis, the Bureau of the FIFA Council has decided – in coordination with UEFA and after consultation with various stakeholders – to temporarily amend the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (RSTP) in order to provide legal certainty and clarity on a number of matters.
